Re: (RL) The production

I used to use a Marshall 50 watt combo until I saw Television at Shepherds Bush,London earlier this year.Richard and Tom were both using Vox AC30's,with great results! I tried one but found them to loud and hot running. My search led me to Budda Amplification. They make(or did until Mesa stopped them) an amp called The Dual Stage 30,which has a minimal pre-amp with switchable power stages(Mesa copywrite).I have the 4x10 combo version,it has footswitchable 6L6 and EL 34 output circuits with a master Volume and a five position attenuator for the EL34s.You can get the glassy clean Fender sound,a slight break up a la Dumble then kick over to the EL34's for Vox/plexi on meltdown. It's Point-to point Btw.It is a bit loud though :)
I was lucky to get the last one in the UK,they have not been made for a while but they do still come up on e-bay.I have never really been satisfied with my amps in the past(I have played for 26 yrs) but I will never let my Budda Go.

Thanks for the lessons Richard!

Paul.
