I was attempting a bad joke at the expense of Johnny Thunders, who, like many junkies, would sometimes nod off in the middle of a conversation, sexual act, etc. I don't know that Johnny ever *really* nodded off in the middle of a song that he wasn't singing, but occasionally he'd do a convincing impression.
